Cape Town needs no introduction and everyone knows that few cities in the world offer a mix of natural and cultural attractions as unique as the Mother City. But many ignore the quality of the beaches in the metropolitan area. Beaches for all tastes and profiles, some just minutes away from the city center. For those traveling in the summer, failing to schedule a few more days to enjoy Capetonian beaches is a mistake to be avoided.
Clifton has four spectacular, wind-protected beaches. Camps Bay is always bustling and full of great bars and restaurants. Llandudno is a surfing spot and one of the most beautiful beaches on the peninsula, with Sandy Bay as its neighbor, the nudist beach. Blouberg attracts kitesurfers from all over the world. On the False Bay side, Muizenberg is popular with novice surfers and Boulders allows you to catch a beach alongside some african penguins. The list is long, just get used to the cold water temperature.
