The famous Masai Mara National Reserve, together with Serengeti National Park (on the Tanzanian side of the border), is one of the largest conservation areas on the planet and one of Africa's most complex and fascinating ecosystems: the Mara-Serengeti.
All Big 5 are present, although the rhino population came close to extinction due to poaching in the 70's and 80's. The biggest attraction is the consistent population of predators, represented especially by Mara lions, leopards and cheetahs. Their eternal hunt for wildebeests, zebras and gazelles can be witnessed in the magic and cyclical spectacle of the great migration.
