FAQ

Safari

National (safari) parks (such as Kruger, Kalahari, Addo) have entrance gates that open between 5 a.m. and  6 a.m., depending on the season. At the gate, a conservation fee should be paid, around US$ 25 per adult per day. It is an entrance fee and even those who will not stay overnight in the park must pay. Our packages do not include the conservation fee, but overnight accommodation inside the park. Upon entry, you can drive freely around the park, respecting rules and regulations, until 5 or 6 p.m., closing time of the gates. After this time, you must be inside a rest camp (only for those who stay overnight in the park and have a confirmed reservation) or outside the park. Optional activities are also available throughout the day, such as hiking, savannah braai (barbecue) and guided safaris in open vehicles. Once gates are closed, you can no longer drive with private vehicles, but night drives are still available with Kruger rangers. Each main rest camp has cafeterias, restaurants, supermarkets and information centers.
