FAQ

Safari

There are several safari regions in South Africa. Some of them have native wildlife and others have seen relocation or reintroduction of wildlife. The most complete and versatile region is Kruger, as it concentrates most species, diversity, high animal density, the best climatic and geographical conditions. Other parks and regions, such as Kalahari, KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape are highly recommended for specific interests, but for a first safari Kruger area is unbeatable. Pilanesberg (near Sun City) and Madikwe are options for those with limited time and traveling with children. Game reserves near Cape Town and the Garden Route are not recommended: from an ecological point of view, they are merely undercover zoos.
