This is a personal preference for everyone, but ideally they should be sturdy, with resistant wheels, must fit easily in the trunk of a normal car and be lockable. Backpacks or soft bags are suitable for adventure or sport trips, and for flights on small aircraft that require "soft bags" (flexible, non-rigid luggage). In any case, we recommend luggage-wraping, available at most airports, before the international flights.
